Ronald L. Young, DMD, MS
Dr. Young was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Alabama. He then earned a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Mississippi College before receiving a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He completed his residency in Periodontics at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans where he trained in IV and oral sedation, traditional periodontal therapy, periodontal plastic surgery, dental implants, and microsurgery.
Dr. Young is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, Charlotte Dental Society, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Young is Board Certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery and has the designation as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, which is a recognized specialty of the National Commission on Recognition of Dental Specialties and Certifying Boards.
Dr. Young lives in Huntersville with his wife Alyssa and two cats, Leonard and Smokie. They enjoy hiking, golfing, traveling around the US playing Escape Rooms, baking, cooking, and trying out as many unique cuisines around the greater Charlotte area as possible.
